Freddie Freeman appears to be the Atlanta Brave first baseman for a long time, evidenced by his consistent play beginning his rookie season in 2011. Based upon factory ordering records, and player use characteristics, this cracked 33.75 inch, 33.1 ounce Marucci CB-15M block letter model bat was used during Freeman's rookie season, when he ended up second on the ROY voting behind teammate Craig Kimbrel. The bat has "FREDDIE FREEMAN" engraved on the barrel with "CB-15M Pro Model" below. The date of manufacture (7/05/11), Freeman's number (5), length (4) and weight (2.0) are stamped on the knob, and moderate coating of Mota stick exists on the handle. This bat shows tremendous evidence of game use with a light repaired handle crack, several ball and stitch marks, including blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks are also visible on all barrel sides, and a mark on the handle identifies the face grain of the bat, a mandatory marking since 2009 on all maple bats. Great gamer from a rising young star. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1B07243, Graded PSA/DNA GU 8.
