The 1985 Chicago Bears boasted one of the most feared defenses the National Football League had ever seen. The defense was anchored by feared Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary and Hall of Fame defensive end Richard Dent, the Buddy Ryan-coached defense was the number one defense in the league and their 198 points and 4.135 yards allowed and 54 takeaways were a record that went unbroken for 28 years. The potent offense was led by brash quarterback Jim McMahon and featured the elusive prolific rusher Walter Payton. Coached by Hall of Famer Mike Ditka, the Bears steamrolled through the league and finished with a 15-1 record. The Bears played in Super Bowl XX where they demolished the New England Patriots 46-10.

Presented here is an Official Pete Rozelle Wilson Super Bowl XX football signed by 42 members of the 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl team. “WILSON” is stamped in black on the brown leather panel featuring a “SUPER BOWL XX” stamp in black. A facsimile Commissioner Pete Rozelle signature is located on the same brown leather panel. The signatures on the white panels of the football feature 42 signatures with notable signatures from Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary, Hall of Fame defensive end and Super Bowl XX MVP Richard Dent, quarterback Jim McMahon, and Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton. Other signatures include Dan Hampton, Steve McMichael, Shaun Gayle, Tim Wrightman, Emery Moorehead, Dennis Gentry, Tom Andrews, Henry Waechter, Leslie Frazier, Gary Fencik, Reggie Phillips, Dan Rains, Mike Hartenstine, Jim Covert and several others.
