The 28th player in Major League Baseball history to record 3,000 hits, Hall of Fame shortstop Derek Jeter hit the 3,147th hit of his career on July 27, 2014, during the New York Yankees 5-4 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium. Jeter collected his 3,147th hit on a single against Blue Jays’ pitcher J.A. Happ in the bottom of the sixth inning. 2014 was the final season of Jeter’s 20-year career and Jeter finished his legendary career with his 3,465 hits landing him sixth on the list of Major League Baseball’s all-time career hit leaders.

Presented here is a 15 x 15-inch rubber first base signed by Jeter when he recorded his 3,174th hit of his career during his final season. The first base was used during the sixth through ninth innings in the July 27, 2014 game at Yankee Stadium between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays. The white Schutt base features “Original HOLLYWOOD BASES JACK CORBETT” stamped on the center with a MLB logo. Two navy plaques labeled “NEW YORK YANKEES” in white adorn two sides of the base. Two navy plaques featuring the iconic interlocking “NY” are labeled “2014 OUR HISTORY. YOUR TRADITION” in white are attached to the other two sides of the base. Jeter signed the front of the first base black fiber-tip marker. A detached black plaque is labeled “DEREK JETER #2 Blue Jays at Yankees July 27, 2014 Game Used First Base (Innings 6-9) Hit #3417” in white. The first base displays excellent signs of game use, with dirt covering most of the base and lateral sides and comes with a sticker from Steiner Sports (212644) an LOA from JSA (BB8070) and an MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ164956).
