The 1997-98 Chicago Bulls season saw the storied franchise capture their six NBA title of the 1990s and their second three-peat, defeating the Utah Jazz in a rematch of the 1996-97 NBA Finals in in six games to secure the Larry O’Brien Trophy. The season was remarkable as it was famed Chicago Bull shooting guard Michael Jordan’s last season wearing the red, white, and black. Jordan earned his fifth and final NBA MVP Award and was selected to the All-Star Game where he won his third and final All-Star MVP Award of his career. Jordan secured his sixth and last Finals MVP Award, and Jordan retired at the conclusion of the season. The Bulls dynasty that dominated the NBA in the 1990’s soon was disbanded, leaving a legacy that still is unparalleled in NBA history.
