For 14 years Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame legend Michael Jordan held the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational charity golf tournament at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Michael Jordan Invitational brought celebrities and athletes together at the exclusive golf club to raise money for various charities. Presented here is a 34 x 43 framed collage with a golf flag from the invitational signed by 18 participants in the charity invitational. The collage and flag rest upon a black matte with white trim and is labeled “THE MICHAEL JORDAN CELEBRITY INVITATIONAL “in blue and white raised lettering on the top of the collage. The white three-holed pin flag is labeled “ARIA RESORT & CASINO Presents MJ THE MICHAEL JORDAN CELEBRITY INVITATIONAL” in black and baby blue embroidery. “ARIA LAS VEGAS” and “Shadowcreek” in black adorn the bottom corners of the flag. The pin flag features 18 signatures with notable signatures from Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, Hockey Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux, NHL hockey great Brett Hull, Hall of Fame slugger Ken Griffey Jr., New York Yankees great Paul O’Neil, “The Great One” Hockey Hall of Fame legend Wayne Gretzky, Olympic Gold Medalists swimmer Michael Phelps, famed NHL defenseman Chris Chelios, Gold decathlon medalist Bruce Jenner, and two-time Olympic gold medalist soccer star Brandi Chastain. Images of the participants who signed the pin flag appear on the lateral sides of the collage along photos of Jordan. The iconic photo of Jordan’s winning dunk from the foul line during his 1988 Slam Dunk Championship rests below the pin flag and was signed by Jordan with a silver metallic paint pen. A black plaque labeled “Signed Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament Flag By: Mario Lemieux, Jerry Rice, Brett Hull, Ken Griffey Jr., Paul O’Neil, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Phelps, Chris Chelios, Bruce Jenner, Brandi Chastain, and photo signed by Michael Jordan” is engraved in silver is affixed to the bottom of the display. The signatures on the pin flag and Jordan’s photo are bold and the collage features a minimal amount of scratching. The pin flag from the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational signed by 18 participants and Jordan comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication and an COA from Upper Deck Authentication.
