Presented is a 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair three-day full ticket. The 2 x 6-inch green paper ticket is divided into three sections, each with a red symbol printed – from right to left a slash, a star and a crescent moon, that would be taken for each of the three days of the music festival on August 15, 16, and 17, 1969 at Max Yasgur's dairy farm in Bethel, New York, 40 miles southwest of Woodstock. Billed as "an Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music" it attracted an audience of more than 400,000. The festival has become widely regarded as a pivotal moment in popular music history as well as a defining event for the counterculture generation. Among the 32 notable musical acts that performed at Woodstock that weekend were Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, Sly & The Family Stone, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Blood Sweat & Tears, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, The Band and Jefferson Airplane. This item has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (50468169), which has graded it a GEM MT 10.
