The Oakland Raiders scored a coup when they drafted Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson in 1998. The future Hall of Famer promptly won NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and made the first of his nine Pro Bowl appearances. Most importantly, Woodson played a key part in bringing the Raiders to the Super Bowl in 2003. This Oakland Raiders jersey was worn by Charles Woodson during Super Bowl XXXVII. Though Tampa Bay prevailed 48-21, Woodson recorded an interception in the game. The white mesh road jersey has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to Super Bowl XXXVII and features Woodson’s number “24” on the chest and shoulders in silver and black tackle twill. The custom Super Bowl XXXVII patch is sewn to the left shoulder and the NFL Equipment patch is sewn on the collar. An embroidered “02-42” strip tag is sewn inside the collar. The shoulders have “C. WOODSON” in black tackle twill on a matching white nameplate above his number “24” in black and silver tackle twill. Woodson has signed the number “4” on the back in silver and added “SB37” and “Game Worn” to the number “2.” The jersey shows nice game use with turf marks and scuffs throughout and loose threads on many of the graphics. The jersey has been definitively photo matched to Woodson’s use in Super Bowl XXXVII using the alignment of mesh holes in relation to the numbers and letters on the front and back along with loose threads on the graphics. This jersey comes with a COA from JSA (P31309) and a LOA from Resolution Photomatching (425222) for the photo match.
