Each card is encased by Topps. This lot offers a complete 400-card set of Topps Project 2020, a transformative card set that captured the attention of collectors, sports fans and art aficionados. The cards feature artwork by 20 different modern artists, including world-renowned creators such as Ben Baller, Don C and Tyson Beck. Their artwork captured their own renditions of a respective player’s Topps rookie card depicting 20 top former and current players such as Derek Jeter, Mike Trout and Ken Griffey Jr.
Complete sets are rare as the cards were initially offered through Topps’ own website. Each card was printed to the exact number of copies purchased during the limited purchase window, making a complete set truly collectible because no more than 1,000 complete sets could exist.
Each card is encased by Topps and affixed with a special sticker highlighting the Project 2020 set. The backs of the cards give a summary of the revolutionary set and also a bio of the respective artists.
