Presented here is a lot of two bats and three baseballs signed by Major League Baseball’s all-time hits career leader Pete Rose. Rose, the 1963 National League Rookie of the Year, played 24 seasons in the MLB and was selected to 17 All-Star Games at an unprecedented five different positions. Rose won three World Series titles, two of them as a player for the Cincinnati Reds “Big Red Machine” teams that dominated the MLB in the 1970s. The 1973 NL MVP was the World Series MVP in 1975 and was a three-time batting champion. His 4,256 hits are an MLB record that still stands today, as are his 3,562 games played.

The first and second items in this presented lot are a pair of 34 ½ -inch Japanese Mizuno bats signed by Rose. The one bat is pink-hued and is stamped “MIZUNO” in black on the barrel of the bat. “MIZUNO SINCE 1906 JAPAN” is stamped on the lower barrel of the bat in black. “GENUINE” and “R3631” are stamped on the bat in black with a facsimile Rose signature. Rose signed the barrel of the bat with a black marker. The signature is bold and the bat is in pristine condition. The second item is a Mizuno bat stamped with “ESTABLISHED IN 1906 CUP BAT MIZUNO JAPAN SPORTING GOODS CO, LTD.” In black on the lower barrel of the bat. “PROFESSIONAL WORLDWIN OIL COMPRESSED” appears stamped in black on the barrel of the bat. Rose singed the barrel of the bat with a black marker. The signature is bold and the bat is in pristine condition.

The third item in this presented lot is an Official National League Charles S. Feeney baseball signed and inscribed by Rose. “RAWLINGS” appears stamped in black on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-N” appears stamped in black on the west panel. Rose signed and inscribed “To Michael Good Luck Pete Rose” with a blue marker. The signature shows elements of bleeding and there is evidence of toning throughout the baseball.

The fourth item in this presented lot is an ONL Feeney National League baseball signed by Rose. A “RAWLINGS HAITI” stamp in black appears on the west panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-N” appears stamped on the east panel of the baseball in black. Rose signed the sweet spot of the baseball with a blue marker. The signature shows elements of bleeding and the baseball displays toning throughout.

The fifth item in this presented lot is an ONL Feeney baseball signed by Rose. “RAWLINGS HAITI” appears stamped in black on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-N” appears stamped in black on the west panel of the baseball. Rose signed the east panel of the baseball with a blue marker. The signature is bold but shows early evidence of bleeding and the baseball displays a minimal amount of toning throughout. This entire lot has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
