Bobby Meacham was the "future" all world shortstop of the New York Yankees, but that didn't work out as George Steinbrenner promoted. This pinstripe, button-down game used home Yankees jersey features the team's interlocking "NY" logo on the left chest and Meacham's number "28" on the back, both in navy blue tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey has a white "Wilson 42" manufacturers size patch with attached tag reading "tapered". There is a white strip tag on the inside collar of the jersey with "Meacham 84 1" chain-stitched in black indicating name, year and set number. The jersey exhibits nice signs of game use, appears to be original and completely unaltered. The jersey comes with an LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert.
