Victor Martinez is a four-time All-Star catcher who spent the majority of his career in Cleveland before being dealt to the Boston Red Sox in 2009, a season he finished with 23 home runs and 108 RBI.
This lot of three Victor Martinez jerseys, hat and batting helmet span the 2009 and 2010 seasons. The navy blue hat and batting helmet, and white, button-down game used 2009 home jersey were used by Martinez in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Los Angeles Angels, when Martinez went 1-for-4 with an RBI in the 7-6 loss. The batting helmet and New Era hat are both navy blue with the trademark red “B” Red Sox logo on the front and show evidence of moderate use. Both are size 7 ¼ and come with MLB Authentication number LH675488. The jersey features “RED SOX” across the chest in red-on-navy blue stitched tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” patch with a white strip tag that reads “41 48 09,” indicating Martinez’s jersey number, size and year. The back of the jersey features Martinez’s number “41” in red-on-navy blue tackle twill with the official MLB logo on the back collar. The jersey exhibits evidence of light game use and appears to be all original. The jersey comes with MLB Authentication number LH675965.
