CC Sabathia, one of the most feared left-handed pitchers in the game today, is a six-time All-Star who won the Cy Young Award with Cleveland in 2007 before eventually signing as a free agent with the New York Yankees in 2009 and winning a World Series title that year. Sabathia was the ALCS MVP for the Yankees in 2009 and led the American League in wins in 2009 (19) and 2010 (21). This white, button-down 2010 New York Yankees CC Sabathia game-used home jersey is loaded with extras and is a must-have for Yankees enthusiasts. The left chest of the jersey features a black patch that reads “George M. Steinbrenner III GMS “The Boss”” honoring the famed team owner who died of a heart attack that year. A black band stitched on the left sleeve also appears in memory of Steinbrenner. Above the band is another black patch, this one honoring longtime public address announcer Bob Sheppard, the voice of the Yankees from 1951-2007. The patch features a microphone with the words “BOB SHEPPARD THE VOICE OF YANKEE STADIUM” below. The front tail of the jersey features a “MLB Authentic Collection” patch with multiple affixed tags that read “2010” “56” “+3 SLV” and “+2 “body,” indicating the jerseys year, size and size modifications. The left chest of the jersey features the Yankees logo and the back of the jersey has Sabathia’s number 52, both stitched in navy blue. The back collar of the jersey features an official MLB logo patch. The jersey comes with MLB Authentication number FJ123128 and Steiner Sports certification.
