Few players, if any, can match the size, scoring and physical abilities that Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin brings to the ice. The Russian phenom is a two-time NHL MVP and three time goal scoring champion who has reenergized the sport’s fan base. This signed, black Alexander Ovechkin practice jersey worn by Ovechkin during the 2006-07 season features his signature in bright silver Sharpie above the famed Washington Capitals logo patch that features crosses hockey sticks and a puck surrounding the White House. The jersey, which features white trim under the arms and down the sides, has a Reebok logo patch on the left chest and back collar, and an NHL logo patch on the neck. The front tail of the jersey has “58” stitched in white, indicating the jersey’s size. A white tie-down strap with Velcro and silver button can be found on the back of the inside of the jersey, with “#8” written in black Sharpie, indicating Ovechkin’s number. A tag with the Canadian Flag is affixed to the inside back collar of the jersey with size “58.” A “MeiGray Group NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2006-2007 Season” patch is sewn on the inside back tail of the jersey with number D10312. The jersey comes with an LOA from MeiGray.
