President Barack Obama authorized “Operation Neptune Spear,” the May 2, 2011 raid led by U.S. Navy Seal Team 6 on wanted terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda, orchestrated the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 that took 2,977 innocent lives and eluded capture for the near part of a decade. Cornered in his compound, the fugitive was finally brought to justice when he was eliminated during the raid, concluding the largest manhunt in American history.

Presented here is a “FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Usama bin Laden” cut signed by President Barack Obama. The cut is labeled “FBI TEN MOST WANTED FUGITIVE” in white lettering on a black background. “USAMA BIN LADEN” appears above a photo of the terrorist with “DECEASED” appearing under his photo. The cut features Bin Laden’s description, a “CAUTION” section that lists the misdeeds done by the feared leader of Al Qaeda, and “REWARD” with the offered amount of “$25 million” for information leading to his apprehension or whereabouts. Obama signed the center of the cut over the section labeled “DESCRIPTION” with a black marker.
