In his third Major League season of 1997, Hall of Famer Chipper Jones hit a nice .295 with 21 homers and 20 stolen bases helping drive the Braves into another post-season. Chipper followed up that season in 1998 with a .313 average with 34 home runs for the post-season-bound Atlanta Braves. 1999 was a standout year for Jones as on his way to winning the National League's MVP Award, the Atlanta Braves star became the first player in history to bat over .300 while hitting more than 40 home runs, 40 doubles, 100 RBI, 100 Runs, drawing more than 100 walks and swiping 20 or more bases. His record-setting performance almost single-handedly defeated the Braves' archrival New York Mets in one of the most bitterly contested pennant races of the decade. This offered Rawlings MS20 model bat was factory patterned for Chipper Jones’ bats during the 1997-99 seasons. This un-cracked bat does not have the factory stampings of the year or order number and does not display any game use. The bat’s model number “MS20” is stamped on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B24456) for the factory patterned status.
