Graded Mint 9 by SGC. The 1997-98 Upper Deck Game Jerseys cards changed the course of basketball cards forever. The set features the first game-used jerseys to be embedded in a card making these ‘firsts’ highly sought after on the secondary market especially given how difficult they were to pull from their original packs. The 1997-98 Upper Deck Game Jersey cards fell at a rate 1 in every 2,500 packs. The 23-card set included many of NBA’s greats at the time including Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, a four-time NBA All-Star.
The back of the Hardaway states the jersey was used in a game during the 1996-97 season and acts as the COA for the jersey’s authenticity. The card is also signed by Hardaway in a black bold ink. This is an exceptional card and a piece of basketball card history in a Mint condition offering.
