After being selected in the first round of the 2012 baseball draft, many expected Michael Wacha to work his way through the Cardinals system and land in St. Louis for a long time. Nobody could have thought he would make the impact that he did so quickly though. After just one year in the minors, Wacha made his debut for the redbirds in 2013, posting strong numbers in the regular season and then dominating in the playoffs. Wacha allowed one run in his first 21 postseason innings allowing only 8 hits while leading the Cardinals to the World Series and being named MVP of the Championship Series. Because of his early dominance and tender age, the flame throwers rookie cards are a must have in your collection. This lot features 300 Leaf Rize rookie cards, 5 certified autographs from Leaf, as well as a true 1/1 signed printing press plate.
