A very rare ball collecting the signatures of four men who have won baseball’s greatest award – The Triple Crown. Leading their league in average, home runs and RBI, Ted Williams (1942 and 1947), Mickey Mantle (1956), Frank Robinson (1966) and Carl Yastrzemski (1967) became members of the game’s most exclusive club; in the whole history of the sport, only 17 players have had seasons so perfect. Needless to say, a baseball that features these four greats is something to behold, and it is made all the more special by the presence of Frank Robinson’s autograph. While very personable, the signature of the Orioles and Reds great is notoriously tough to get, yet here he is, it in the company of three other Triple Crown Winners. Each Hall of Famer has signed the 1984-90 Rawlings (Haiti) Bobby Brown OAL ball in blue ballpoint, except for Williams who has signed in black ballpoint (perhaps winning two of the game’s most elusive awards earned him the right to use a different color). Mantle and Robinson have both signed on the same sweet spot and Yastrzemski and Williams have signed on adjacent panels. Letter of Authenticity from JSA.
Triple Crown Signed Baseball with Mantle, Robinson, Williams and Yastrzemski
