It did not take rookie Rob Gronkowski, a second round pick out of Arizona, to get his feet wet in the NFL. During that 2010 season, "Gronk" reeled in 42 Tom Brady passes for 546 yards and an astounding 10 touchdowns! In fact, Gronkowski's first ever catch, in his first ever game, resulted in a one yard TD. This outstanding New England Patriots helmet was used by Gronkowski during his rookie season. The Riddell helmet has the Patriots logo on both sides, with Gronk's number "87" on the back, all affixed with durable stickers. The outer shell's reverse also has the NFL shield logo, the American Flag plus the "PATRIOTS" name. The inside features the MANY warning labels, the manufacture date sticker "MAY 2010 Made in USA" and Gronkowski's number written in black marker. The helmet exhibits tremendous evidence of game use with various abrasions, scrapes and gouges on the crown and facemask. Also on the crown is a black marker "Rob Gronkowski #87" signature with "42-546-10 TD's" inscription, indicating catches, yards and scoring catches during his first season. This helmet appears all original with no alterations. Two LOAs accompany this item: First is a MEARS LOO indicating the helmet is AUTHENTIC (MEARS DOES NOT ASSIGN NUMBER GRADES TO HELMETS), and an LOA from PSA/DNA for the signature, cert number U05448. We can not imagine a more significant game used helmet from one of the NFL's best young talents.
