Former slugger Chili Davis spent his final two seasons in the Majors with the New York Yankees and went out in style as he was apart of the back-to-back World Champion teams of 1998 and 1999. Presented here is one of the game used bats from Chili Davis during the 1998 season, where he appeared in 35 games and hit 3 home runs with 9 RBI. This Rawlings CD44 model bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers, white leather scuffs and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar by the Rawlings trademark and the handle has a coating of Mota stick. The knob has the bat’s model number “CD44”, along with the order number “813” and year “98” stamped. Davis’ number “45” is also handwritten on the knob in silver marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B25043) for the game use and has been given a very high grade of GU 9.5.
