Presented here is a 3 x 17-inch rubber David Ortiz locker room nameplate used during the Boston Red Sox 8-6 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park on August 31, 2016. The three-time World Series champion and 2013 World Series MVP Ortiz played in his last season in 2016. The nameplate features the iconic Boston "Red Sox" logo on the left end of the nameplate in red set against Fenway Park's backdrop. "BOSTON RED SOX" is labeled in white on the red portion of the nameplate that runs horizontally across the top of the nameplate. A New Balance "NB" logo in white appears on the red portion of the nameplate on the top right corner. "DAVID ORTIZ" appears in white with blue trim on the blue background that runs horizontally across the bottom of the nameplate. A New Balance "NB" logo appears in white on the blue background. The number "34" appears in red on the bottom right corner of the nameplate. A magnet is attached to the back of the nameplate. The 10-time All-Star selection Ortiz signed the right side of the nameplate next to the number "34" with a silver metallic paint pen. The signature is bold, and the nameplate is in excellent condition.
