Following their simultaneous assault on the single-season home run record, Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle were instantly cash cows on Madison Avenue and in Hollywood. This one-sheet movie poster was issued to hawk the fence-clearing duo’s appearance in the 1962 production Safe at Home. This Columbia Pictures poster shows Mantle and Maris flanking “The Luckiest Kid in the World” (a little leaguer who found himself in hot water for claiming to know the Yankee sluggers). This item presents nicely, has some light stains, exhibits normal compacting folds, and is framed to an approximate dimension of 27 x 41 inches.
