Offered is a unique New York Yankees square “pennant”, complete with entire team printed in white appliqué with the starting infield lineup and base coaches. This approximately 17 x 22.5 inch brown felt banner has “YANKEES AMERICAN – LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1953” above an infield diagram, with the starting infield names cut out of the infield, or printed in white. All other player and dugout components of the 1953 World Series winners are listed on either side of the infield including “MANTLE”. It is interesting how only the infield is replicated on the field dimensions, even though there appears to be room for the power-laden starting outfield. The banner style pennant contains normal crinkling to the white paint, more pronounced within the infield area. Framed to an approximate dimension of 18.75 x 24.25 inches. This is a very unique banner pennant, the first we have ever seen.
