One of the most exciting years in New York Sports was 1969, when the New York Mets, Jets and Knicks all played championship seasons. These six 7-7/8” x 9-7/8” fiber board glazed plaques have been signed boldly in blue Sharpie by six members of that 1969-70 NBA Championship team. Each plaque has a basketball with “NEW YORK KNICKS” in the middle with the phrase “WORLD CHAMPS 1969-70”, all in the Knicks blue and orange. Includes Red Holzman (d. 1998, HOF), Willis Reed (HOF), Dave DeBusschere (d. 2003, HOF), Phil Jackson, Dick Barnett (signed ONLY with last name plus “Best Wishes”), and trainer Danny Whelan (d. 2004). Great collection of signed items which have appears to have originated somewhere within the hallows of Madison Square Garden. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
