Winter 2014 Auction Closing Feb 7
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/8/2014
Langston Hughes (d.1967) was an American poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist, and is best known as a leader of the Harlem Renaissance. This exquisite, sole owner original album page derives from the same collector who consigned the first lot in this auction, the famous 1956 Jackie Robinson game used bat. This Near Mint album page has a scarce bold ink "Langston Hughes" signature placed dead center, with the inscription "Dayton, May 19, 1940" below. Beautiful MINT signature, virtually unimprovable. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA as AUTHENTIC.
