Widely considered the best two athletes to ever compete in their respective sports, boxer Muhammad Ali and Brazilian soccer star Pele revolutionized the way fans viewed each craft. Ali, a three-time heavyweight champion, and Pele, who scored 1,000 career goals, crossed paths at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Oct. 1, 1977, at a ceremony honoring the soccer phenom, who was playing for the New York Cosmos at the time. The 16x20-inch black-and-white photo features Ali and Pele’s signatures in bold, silver sharpie in the bottom left corner of the image. In the photo, Pele is embracing Ali, who is holding a soccer ball. The signatures come with PSA/DNA certification number 3A64241.
