Offered is a small group of one of the most underrated issues for the early days of baseball. The Sweet Caporal pin set includes 205 different pins with most of the games Hall of Famers, with many like Cobb, Johnson, Mathewson and Cy Young who have two examples each. This collection includes 37 different, mostly “commons”, and would make a great starter lot to begin the task of set accumulation. While most of the pins are EX/MT with intact paper backings, there are about ten pins which have paper tears to other back defects, and a few which have moderate scratches. Al variation possibilities are small letter varieties, except Paskert, which has the large letters. Includes: Abbaticchio, Archer, Barger, Barry, Beebe, Bell, Bergen, Camnitz, Carrigan, Cicotte, Dougherty, Donovan, Downey, Doyle, Gibson, Gray, Hoffman, Hummel, Leifield, Magee, Mattern, McIntire, “Chief”Meyers, Moran, Mullen, Oldring, Parent, Paskert (L), Pfeister, Phillippe, Stone, Stovall, Suggs, Thomas, Heinie Wagner, White and Wolter.
