Ryan Howard was part of the 2000 Team USA, a collection of college stars who toured the nation playing tournaments. However, it was NOT the 2000 US Olympic team, which used professional players for the first time. This jersey and pants combination was worn by Howard during this 16 game tour. The gray, button down road jersey has “USA” across the front with the number “25” on the left side, and within the collar is the “Russell Athletic XXL” manufacturers size tag. The left shoulder has a “US West” sponsor patch. The reverse has the name “HOWARD” across the back on a gray nameplate, with the number “25” below. The gray pants has the “Russell Athletic” manufacturers size “42” waist tag inside, with “25 R.H.” written in black marker. There is light evidence of game use, with an LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert. Originally from the inventory of Upper Deck which had an agreement with TEAM USA Baseball.
