Opening Day Auction 2014

When you think of the most storied franchises in baseball history, the Boston Red Sox will forever be near or at the top of that list. The biggest name linked to a Red Sox team with such a rich tradition is Ted Williams, the dynamic outfielder who spent his entire 19-year Hall of Fame career in Boston. The two-time American League MVP signed this extraordinary pair of 16x20-inch photos in bold, blue Sharpie and each offers the collector a different perspective of the famed slugger. The first is a color photo of Williams taking batting practice in a gray road Boston uniform while the second is a black-and-white photo of “Teddy Ballgame” kneeling in the on-deck circle swinging a pair of bats. Both photographs are in very good condition and housed in black frames. The signed color photograph comes with a PSA/DNA LOA with certification number “K48783” while the signed black-and-white photo is PSA/DNA pre-certified.
