The Buffalo Braves were a team in the NBA based when in 1978, Braves owner John Y. Brown swapped franchises with then Boston Celtics owner Irv Levin, who moved the team to San Diego to become the San Deigo Clippers, before eventually settling in Los Angeles as the Los Angeles Clippers.
This full uniform was worn by Elton Brand on March 25, 2006 at home vs. the Wizards. This lot includes six separate "Buffalo Braves" items worn by Brand that game.
Includes: JERSEY - Across the front is “BUFFALO” done with his number “42” on front and back in black on white tackle twill pattern. His name “BRAND” appears across the back in also in black on white tackle twill. At the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. On the left front tail is the “Reebok” manufacturer’s tag with four attached flag tags, “50”, “Playdry”, “2005-2006” and “+4Length”, with his number “42” written in black marker. Directly above are the “1970-71” TBTC strip tag and “Hardwood Classics” label.
SHORTS - Inside the rear waistband of the matching shorts is the same “Reebok” tag with four flag tags, “48”. “Playdry”, “+2Inseam” and “+2Rise”. Player number “42” is written in black marker.
WARM UP JACKET - Across the front is “BUFFALO BRAVES” in orange tackle twill. Inside the rear collar is the “Reebok Hardwood Classics” tag with attached size “3XL TALL” tag and player number “42” written in black marker.
WARM UP PANTS - Inside the rear waistband is “BUFFALO BRAVES” heat transferred in orange letters. Below is the same “Hardwood Classics” tag and flag tag “3XL TALL” and player number “42”. SHOOTING SHIRT - “Reebok Hardwood Classics” size “3XL”, BUFFALO 70”. T-SHIRT - “Reebok” with “Buffalo Braves” on front and player number “42” written on the inner collar in blue marker. All warm-ups are properly tagged, and were worn by Brand during the Clippers throwback dedication to the beginnings of thier franchise. Total of six items. LOA from game used expert Dave Miedema.
