Orel Hershiser, commonly referred to as “The Bulldog,” picked up plenty of accolades during his illustrious 18-year career, including Cy Young and World Series MVP honors in 1988. This rare game used batting practice jersey comes from Hershiser’s 1997 season with the Indians and features a unique “Indians All*Star Game 1997” patch on the right sleeve, honoring Cleveland’s hosting of the event that season. The mesh jersey features an Indians logo stitched on the left chest just below the two-button collar and has Hershiser’s number “55” in red-on-white tackle twill on the back. The front tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Diamond Collection” manufacturer’s tag with an affixed size XL tag. The jersey exhibits evidence of light game use and comes with an LOA from noted jersey expert Dave Miedema.
