Swinging the most feared bat during the 1970s, Reggie Jackson captured the American League MVP award with the Oakland A’s in 1973 and led the league in home runs in 1973 and 1975. This fine piece of lumber helped the future Hall of Famer firmly establish himself as the game's most exciting player. The uncracked Adirondack 288RJ bat shows excellent game use. Slight checking can be seen on the barrel. Many ball and stitching impressions can be seen on the barrel as red and blue paint streaks from bat rack streaks across the American League. The model number 288RJ is stamped into the knob and number "9" is handwritten in black marker on the knob end. Interestingly, the usual blue ring on the handle has been custom painted black, most likely at the Adirondack factory. Reggie has signed the barrel in black marker adding his immortal number "44". PSA/DNA stickers 1B07437 and V73134 are affixed to the knob and barrel end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have graded this Hall of Fame bat a GU 8.
