Presented here is the foundation element of one of the finest careers ever accomplished in Major League Baseball. Its subject's glory during a lengthy reign as Home Run King is known and respected by all. But he established additional records, and distinguished himself in other capacities as well. The last Negro League player to also star in the majors, Hank Aaron amazed crowds for 23 seasons. At the conclusion of this incomparable run of success, he continued to devote himself to the game in an executive role. Through it all, his dignity and gracious manner were the hallmarks of this great competitor's commitment to his sport.
