This lot of six very artistic tickets includes five un-used tickets and one ticket stub for various classes of boxing matches at the 1960 Summer Olympics held in Rome Italy where future heavyweight champion Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) first came to prominence winning the Gold Medal in the Heavyweight division. Each of the tickets is for preliminary bouts dated in Italian for: Agosto 26, Agosto 27, Agosto 29 (2) and Settembre 1, with the date removed from the used ticket. Clay (Ali) won his Gold Medal on September 5. These extremely attractive tickets with the image of the Roman Pantheon and Palazzo Dello Sporto Pugliato on the front and interior seating guide on the back are printed on paper stock and remain in near mint condition. Lot also contains a black and white post card of an Olympic athlete preparing to light the 1960 Olympic flame under an Italian flag.
