1989 Baseball Hall of Famers Display Piece Signed By 30 Including Williams, Yastrzenski and Reese

Former Commissioner of Baseball Bart Giamatti’s one and only Hall of Fame Induction weekend as Commissioner coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Hall. Commissioner Giamatti, National League President Bill White, American League President Bobby Brown and Hall of Fame President Ed Stack posed with this group of 30 returning Hall of Famers for this 11” x 14” color photo taken by the banks of Otsego Lake, behind the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, on July 23, 1989. Five weeks later Giamatti was dead. The photo is presented in a 16” x 20” 1 ½ -inch thick, Plexiglas display case and is signed on its surrounding mat by 28 of the Hall of Famers present in the photo including: Al Barlick, Red Schoendienst, Rick Ferrell, Billy Williams, Ted Williams, Ernie Banks, Willie McCovey, Pee Wee Reese, Harmon Killebrew, Monte Irvin, Ralph Kiner, Charlie Gehringer, Johnny Mize, Johnny Bench, Bob Lemon, Warren Spahn, Robin Roberts, Billy Herman, Stan Musial, Brooks Robinson, Willie Stargell, Al Lopez, Enos Slaugter, Joe Sewell, Carl Yastrzemski, Duke Snider, Booby Doerr, Bob Feller. League presidents Brown and White’s signatures are also present. Autographs are in a variety of black and blue markers and the photo comes with a PSA LOA.
