Offered is a collection of 16 Hall of Fame Induction press pins (all different), plus 13 "retroactive" Hall of Fame Induction press pins. The Baseball Hall of Fame first began issuing press pins for its annual induction ceremonies in 1982 and the practice continues to this day. This collection includes the highly desirable 1982 first-issued pin and includes the first 15 of the first 17 issued pins (missing 1995 and 1997), and also includes the 2006 Negro League pin. Also included here are 13 "retroactive" pins. These modern-day pins, which were produced by Chase Bank, commemorate Hall of Fame induction years prior to 1982. Despite their recent vintage, the retroactive pins were issued in limited numbers, are highly collectible and very desirable today. All of the pins are in Near Mint or better condition, and all features threaded or needle post backs which are complete with their original fasteners (one or two have missing fasteners). Includes: OFFICIAL HOF PINS (16) – 1982 (1st one issued!), 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2006. RETROACTIVE HOF PINS (13) – 1936 (1st HOF induction!), 1937, 1938, 1939 (2 separate pins, w/Gehrig), 1942, 1945, 1946, 1955, 1962, 1966, 1972, 1974 (Mantle). Total of 29 Hall of Fame pins.
