Graded 84 NM ("NM 7" equivalent) by SGC. Hall of Famer, in his Bowman Rookie Card appearance. This is a praiseworthy representation of Jackie Robinson's universally admired card from Bowman's second post-war baseball production. The young star who changed the color of baseball, and who performed under a media microscope, destined to be forever remembered for his poise and grace, is paid fitting tribute by this superb and scarce piece. This card was released as Robinson entered his third year with the Dodgers, and it commands a position of honor in all comprehensive collections. This specimen is pleasing in every way. Its red and blue highlight tones seem ablaze, the corners reveal mere traces of "touching," and its overall aesthetic is superior. Robinson's gentle gaze and humble demeanor, displayed beautifully on the offered piece, carried baseball to a new level of equality, as well as achievement. Near Mint condition.
