Elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003, Gary Carter was an 11-time all-star and a fan favorite throughout his career. "The Kid" used this Louisville Slugger P89 from 1980-1983 during which he made the NL All-Star squad each summer (1981 MVP), won three Gold Glove Awards and two Silver Slugger Awards. The bat shows excellent use and has a handle crack with a 1" x 8 1/2" piece of wood missing. Pine tar is evident on the handle and Carter's number "8" is handwritten on the knob end in black marker. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B07428 is affixed to the barrel and T21424 to the knob end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
