Graded VG 3 by SGC. Hall of Famer, in a debut-year gum card appearance. Jackie Robinson's contributions to the sport of baseball are well-documented, and his positive influence in American culture is well-appreciated. This captivating memento of Jackie, one of the first regular cards on which he would be featured during his career, is as worthy a symbol of his legend as one could ever find in a "mere" piece of cardboard. This '48 Leaf example delivers splendid, bright colors, and immediately challenges the majority of its counterparts in terms of brilliance and eye appeal. Intense hues dominate the appearance of this piece, and make it a true visual treat. The item's gently toned borders frame the fabulous image just a bit toward the top edge. All four corners are well-shaped, and the card's back-printing is bold and clear. A small wrinkle can be discerned with difficulty at the bottom-left aspect. A quality representation of this important design, in Very Good condition.
