This top grade Rawlings Professional model “Pro 7” fielder’s glove was produced for New York Mets slugger Howard Johnson during the 1985 season. Featuring the Rawlings label and insignia on the outside and all the correct inner stampings, this glove also has multiple areas of Johnson’s handwritten markings. Near the “R” insignia is his number “20” with his nickname “HoJO” printed near the wrist strap. On the outer last two fingers is “1985 SEASON” plus a bold “Howard Johnson” signature, all in blue marker. The year code “KEK09” is stamped on the top of the thumb. COA from JSA, cert number I98699 for the signature; and full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1G00121 for the glove, who also indicates the glove has “no evidence of player use.”
