Perhaps nothing was more daunting to a pitcher in the 1990's than seeing Frank Thomas swinging his rusty piece of rebar in the on-deck circle. Even more frightening would be to see him set the rebar aside and take up one of his trademark black Rawlings, just like this one, on his way to the plate. Thomas continued his slugging ways as the White Sox emerges as contenders in the early 2000's, from which this bat dates. Thomas' first ballot Hall of Fame election in 2013 marked the first time a designated hitter made the hallowed halls of Cooperstown. The White Sox slugger's Rawlings 576B bat shows moderate use and is uncracked. The Big Hurt took some serious cuts with this bat as can be seen from the tremendous white leather scuff marks on the barrel. The White Sox slugger has signed the barrel in nicely contrasting silver ink and added his number "35". A great piece of lumber from the newest member of Baseball's Hall of Fame. PSA/DNA stickers U45277 and 1B05960 have been affixed to the barrel and knob end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
