Scarce one-sheet poster heralding the arrival of “Abe Saperstein's Fabulous Harlem Globetrotters”, with “In Person The Great Wilt (The Stilt) Chamberlain”, at the “MEMORIAL COLISEUM WINSTON-SALEM” on SAT. DEC, 13” in 1959. The poster, which advertises the Globetrotters as "MAGICIANS OF THE HARDWOOD COURT," also notes that the Texas Cow Girls, a female version of the Globetrotters, would also appear on the card. Harlem Globetrotter posters featuring Chamberlain are rare because 1959 marked the only year he toured with the team on a full-time basis. This 22” x 28” cardboard poster exhibits six inches of water damage along the bottom, with moderate creasing in the lower right corner plus other edge wear. Despite these issues, which could be matted out, vintage Globetrotter posters, especially ones featuring Wilt Chamberlain are always in demand. This is a magnificent and ideal vintage Harlem Globetrotters poster, highly desirable and perfect for display!
