David Adams spent 43 games on the New York Yankees’ roster in 2013, primarily serving as a fill-in at third base while the Alex Rodriguez saga played itself out. This signed 2013 New York Yankees game used David Adams road jersey and hat comes from the Bronx Bombers’ Memorial Day game against the Mets on May 27. The Memorial Day uniform features a camouflage hat and grey Yankees button-down road jersey with “NEW YORK” and Adams’ number “39” both stitched in camouflage tackle-twill. Adams signed the “9” on back of the jersey in bold, black Sharpie with the inscriptions “2013 Game Used” and “Yankees Rookie Year.” The size 7 1/8 camouflage hat is signed in the exact same format as the jersey on top of the brim, while Adams’ number “39” is written in black Sharpie on the inside of the hat. The front tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag, size “48” tag and “2013” tag. A New York Yankees butterfly patch also appears on the front tail, number “0000003399.” Adams went 1-for-4 in the May 27 contest against the Mets. The jersey shows evidence of game use, including staining on the left chest around the “K” in “YORK.” Both signed items come with an LOA from Steiner Sports and holographic stickers, numbers “189270” (jersey) and “192800” (hat). Both items also are certified by MLB Authentication, numbers “EK509045” (jersey) and “EK509013” (hat).
