On May 26, 1975 superstar daredevil Evel Knievel attempted to jump over thirteen redundant single-deck AEC Merlin buses. In front of 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium in London, Knievel crashed while trying to land, broke his pelvis and immediately announced his retirement, which was short-lived. The broken pelvis was one of 433 broken bones he suffered during has three decade daredevil career. This 21 x 31 inch framed display features a No. 1 in red, white and blue surrounded by four images of that jump and crash with a small plaque below. The No. 1 has been signed boldly in black sharpie “Evel Knievel” and has the affixed PSA/DNA sticker (U41253). Handsomely matted and framed.
