Opening Day Auction 2014

One of the most talented and polarizing catchers in the game, Pierzynski was the spark the White Sox needed during their historic '05 season. A fixture on the Southside throughout the early 2000's, AJ wrapped up his Sox career with a .295 average in 2012 and hit homers in 5 consecutive games, one of only 6 players to ever do so. Besides winning the Silver Slugger Award for catcher that year, his hard-nosed and aggressive play also saw him voted "The Most Hated Player in Major League Baseball". Pierzynski's Louisville Slugger C243 shows moderate use and has a cracked handle. A light coat of pine tar is on the handle on which is affixed a White Sox sticker with Pierzynski's number "12". PSA/DNA sticker number 1B04286 is affixed to the barrel end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
