Probably the best catcher in the National League for over 15 seasons, Mike Piazza put up career stats that make him arguably the greatest hitting catcher to ever play the game. 2002, from which year this bat dates to, was a typical season for the Mets' catcher, batting .280 with 33 home runs while making the NL All-Star team and taking home the Silver Slugger Award. Piazza's Mizuno Pro Ltd bat is uncracked and shows light use. A few ball and stitch impressions can be seen as are cleat imprints. Marks from a weighted batting donut are visible and a moderate coat of pine tar is evident on the handle. Piazza's initials "MP" are stamped into the knob end. The future Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in in blue marker and added his number "31" and "G/U". PSA/DNA sticker number 1B03033 is affixed to the barrel and 4A10503 is affixed to the knob end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA .
