The oldest of three brothers who excelled in the majors, Felipe is a career .286 hitter for a career spanning 17 seasons. This striking Braves jersey dates from 1967, the teams second in Atlanta and a year in which Alou hit a fine .274 with 15 homers. By the mid 1960's the Braves organization began to refine their decades-old script and tomahawk brand, introducing the paired down but still visually appealing look represented by this game used Alou jersey. The classic home white flannel jersey has the trademark "Braves" script across the front in red and navy felt. Alou's number "29" sits just below in the same bright colors. A line of navy pin striping runs around the neck and down the front to complete the jersey. Wilson size 40 label is sewn in the lower left front tail and "Alou 67-3" is stitched in a white strip tag in the inside collar. The left sleeve sports the stunning mohawked Brave mascot patch in vivid Technicolor embroidery. Back has the number "29" in large red and navy felt. The creamy white jersey show good game use and displays exceeding well due to both the fine condition and the beautiful team graphics. Letter of Authenticity from MEARS who have graded this jersey A9.
