The Arizona Diamondbacks became the quickest expansion team to win a World Series, beating the New York Yankees in the 2001 World Series, a mere four seasons into their franchise’s history. It was also the series played a month after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This 10K gold size 10.5/56 gram ring features a large “A” on a bed of small diamonds, with “2001 WORLD CHAMPIONS” on the perimeter. One shank has the name “FAIRCLOTH” with the American Flag and team name, while the other shank has the series score “D 4 – NY 3” sandwiching a image of the trophy with “FASTER EVER” in raised relief. Engraved inside the band is “9-11-01 Never Forget” and the “10K” symbol. This ring comes with a small original 2” x 3” x 1.75” presentation box, with this particular style of ring and its smaller box reserved for front office personnel.
