Offered is a group of vintage wire photos including one with Jackie Robinson. All are in excellent condition and measure approximately 7” x 9” to 8” x 10” with the usual photo faults. Includes: 1) Jackie Robinson kicking his glove in disgust during game in 1952. Date of July 20, 1952 and “JACKIE ROBINSON” name stamped on verso. 2) Yankees Elston Howard applying tag at the plate, 1957. Moderate crease. 3) Mike Shannon blasting HR in 1967 World Series. Cleveland Press Date stamp on verso. 4) Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves mix it up on field after close play, 1970. Various stamps and red marker writing on reverse. 5) 1953 of 1954 image of Dick Starr, former Yankee pitcher, wearing a Baltimore Orioles uniform as minor leaguer. Excellent image. 6) Jimmy Durante movie production photo clowning around in baseball jersey and a very large bat, original paper caption on verso. 7) TWO mid-1960s Yankee color promotional photos, Mel Stottlemyre and Bobby Richardson, both folded multiple times with corner pinholes. These two are NOT wire photos.
