After winning the gold medal at heavyweight in the World Junior Championships in 1979, the stage seemed set for Marvis Frazier to continue the legacy left by his father, Joe Frazier, and become one of professional boxing’s next greats. The possibility enticed “The Ring” magazine, which featured the father-son combo on its cover in the August 1980 edition with the title “Will Marvis Frazier Follow In His Father’s Footsteps?” The signed portrait features Marvis holding a gold medal with Joe looking over his son’s shoulder. Both fighters signed the approximately 8x10-inch cover vividly in pen. The signed cover comes with PSA/DNA COA, certification number “Q95686.”
